TORONTO – The undefeated Uprising GC-Raptors set two NBA 2K League records with its 14 consecutive wins on Wednesday, but it wasn’t easy against a game provocative for the care of Kings.
Toronto (14-0) crunched through 64-63 in game 1 and 92-89 in double overtime in Game 2 to take the series to the best of three games.
The Raptors have blazer5 Gaming, which set the record for the longest winning streak in the regular season last season along with the highest number of wins at 14. Toronto can do better on Thursday with a victory over the Lakers Gaming (2-11 before the game on Wednesday).
Canadian forward sten (Sav) Valge-Saar scored 50 points in the Lakers’ 67-57 victory over Heat Check Gaming in game 1 of their series on Wednesday.
Toronto has also extended its own record of consecutive wins to start a season (the previous mark was 10 by Mavs Gaming last year.
Sacramento (10-5), which could have won a playoff sport with a win on its field, had its chances.
Game 2 required an extra time with Toronto’s keeper Kenneth (Kenny has work) Hailey, who found the center Jerry (ill) narrowly not found for the equalizing basket at 74-74 with 2.6 seconds to do in regular time.
Hailey then stepped up and hit a three-pointer after a Kings turn to get to 80 in the final seconds of the first quarter. Hailey scored 10 of the Raptors’ 12 points in the second overtime, securing the flight that prevented the Kings’ final return.
Hailey finished with 51 points in Game 2 after racking up 32 points in the opening game. Kapp scored 20 points and 12 rebounds in game 2 and 12 points and 14 rebounds in game 1.
Matthew (Bash) Robles scored 66 points for the Kings
Kapp had a two-point discount and a big rebound in the last minute of game 1. By three, the Kings had a chance to equalize, playing with 2.7 seconds, but they managed only one double.
Sacramento held the heat in game 2 and led 24-17 after the first quarter. The Kings increased the lead to 10 at the start of the second twenty, but Toronto reduced the gap to 37-33 in the half. It was 54-54 in the fourth.
Regular season games were one-off competitions in the league’s first two seasons before being switched to the best-of-three distance games this year.
The Raptors came from a weekend win at the turning point and defeated Wizards District Gaming to win the first prize of 117,000 first of the 260,000season tournament this season. Toronto sent Kings Guard Gaming to the semifinals, but was pushed to three games for the only time of the event.
Toronto swept Sacramento in the tipoff final, the first tournament of the season in June.
“I’m looking for reveeeeenge,” Kings Guard Gaming tweeted before Wednesday’s game.
Toronto was down 5-0 after a sloppy start to the game and then led 11-2, with the Raptors leading 17-16 at the end of the first quarter, with Hailey leading 13 points on 6-7 striking.
Sacramento led 32-31 at halftime and 51-48 after coming third in a tight contest.
The training includes Yusuf Center (Yusuf_Scarbz) Abdulla, a Toronto native who played for the Uprising Raptors. Toronto lockdown defenseman Trent (Timelycook) Donald played for Kings Guard Gaming.
The final of the regular season in Toronto is in August. 7 vs. Cavs Legion GC (4-7).
The Raptors have already marked the history of the league on several fronts.
– You are the first team to win the first two tournaments of the season, the Tipoff and the Turn.
– Hailey is the first multi-tournament MVP in the history of the league and the first to win three player of the Week awards in one season.
– They set the point record in a league game twice (on June 12 in a 109-51 win over the Celtics Crossover Gaming and on July 16 in a 112-62 win over the Pacers Gaming).
– They set the league record for most consecutive wins (13) to open a season. The previous record was 10 by Mavs Gaming last year.
– They are the first in the history of the league to qualify for the postseason, after a series victory on July 2 over the gen Tigers.G.
Including the tournament, Toronto has a 23-0 record this season. Sacramento is 17-8 in all competitions.
